I love the hot key functions such as hide, global hide, clear, copy, delete, “x” for multiply and either the comma or period for a decimal point. Very ingenious!
There are a few things that I would love to see in a future update though. The first thing, would be an option to turn the “+=“ key into only the “+” key with one keystroke because I accidentaly clicked that key a few times wanting the plus function but it evaluated it anyway. Another option that you could add would be to use both the slashes (the backslash and forward-slash) as divide functions. And possibly, if you could make it where the paste function could be pasted into any part of the calculation and not only in the beginning, that would be amazing!! Lastly, I would also love to be able to use parentheses in my calculations.
But other than those few ideas, it is an amazing and very convenient app. Extremely well made and very user friendly!!

Submitted on 2014-09-19 Review title of FilomenaCalculator!I love it, it is big enough to view the numbers from a distance when doing something with my niece or nephew. It's plain, simple and just the perfect app when you don't need to do complicated math. I especially love that we can switch the colors. It did confuse me in the beginning that the icon was not of a calculator but that of the picture behind the calculator, took some time to get used to remembering I had to choose the icon of the beech with a row boat.
But I love it, the app is just right - for me!

Entering calculations
To start using Numi, simply type in a calculation you’d like answered. Time conversions, unit conversions, simple and advanced math are all supported.

The terms of your question will appear on the left-hand side of the app window in blue and white text. The answer will appear on the right-hand side in green text. You can play around with the phrasing of your question; “20% of $50” will yield a different result than “20% off of $50.”
Saving calculations
To create a new saved calculation, click the “+” button at the top right of the app window. To name your new calculation page, enter a “#” followed by the name of your choice in the first line.
To find and open a saved calculation, click the “all calculations” button at the top right and scroll through the list or use the search bar. Then click the name of the calculation and it will open in the main window.
Variables
Numi supports the creation of custom variables in your calculations. Use the initial lines of a calculation to establish the names, values, and relationships between variables. In the later lines, you can have the app use those variables for more complex calculations.
Copying and Exporting
It’s easy to use the answers you find in the app for other purposes. Any green-text result will automatically copy to your clipboard when you click it. You can paste into any other app or document.
To export or share an entire calculation, click the arrow at the bottom right of the window and choose from the pop-up menu.
